#1 Search Engine Secret

Let's not kid ourselves here... your goal is to get listed on the first page of Google, right? So you've got to ask yourself... why do search engines present one link over another? What do you have to do to get on that critical first page of Google's search results?

As with anyone else, if you want to understand what motivates search engines most of all, a good place to start is by walking a mile in their shoes. When you start thinking like Google and about who they might present to a searcher, the first thing you will recognize is that when making the decision on who gets listed on the first page of Google, they don't care one little bit about you, your business or your web site. In fact, they don't even care about their advertisers. The person they care about most of all is the person who types something into their search box. Because if they serve that person's needs well, that person will come back with their next question and they will own those eyeballs. It is from that root their tree grows; all good things come to them when they own enough eyeballs.

So how do they serve the searcher's needs best? By delivering the "right" answer to their query. It's that simple. If they deliver the right answer every time, the searcher has no need to go elsewhere next time they have a question. Once you understand this, you realize that if you want to be listed on the first page of search results presented by Google, you do it by being the right answer. That's the secret. There is no magic potion, no need to "trick" search engines into listing you, no need for "black-hat" or any other manipulations. Just make sure that when someone asks the question that you can answer best, Google knows that you are the right answer to that question.

If you have read all the articles about SEO and Internet Marketing in this blog, you will be well aware of what it takes to be the right answer, but I'll remind you. In order to be the right answer, you must be the subject matter expert on the topic being searched. You already know you are a thought leader in your field, so all you need to do is make sure Google knows it, too. And how do you do that? You do it by producing unique content that's relevant to the subject being searched and by making sure search engines know you have produced it.

The way you get this done has been covered extensively here in other articles, but if you don't have the time, energy or inclination to read our articles to learn about it and do it yourself, give us a call at 877.397.7605 or contact 111 Web Studio online and we will do everything we can to help you get listed on the first page of Google.

Another secret: Google does care about its advertisers. Sign up for adwords for a few months and then cancel and see what happens to your position on page 1.
